The Oberoi Amarvilas - Sanskrit for ‘Eternal Haven’ - is set among lush and serene Mughal-inspired pools and terraced gardens. Ancient and traditional Persian and Moorish influences combine with the very best in modern Indian interior design.

This fusion is exhibited to spectacular effect in the cobalt blue and gold domed entrance hall, whose windows frame a fabulous vista of the Taj Mahal. Sixty-four fountains, filigreed stone bridges and pillars greet guests as they cross the forecourt of the ceremonial entrance pavilion of what appears to be a Mughal palace.

ACCOMMODATION:
All rooms and suites feature a separate walk-in closet with electronic safe, colour satellite TV, DVD/CD player. Minibar and a facility to make tea and coffee. Beautiful marble bathrooms feature both a bathtub and a separate shower cubicle with deluxe toiletries. Fifty Seven superior deluxe rooms have their own private open-air terraces.

Four Executive Suites have a separate living room and bedroom. The two luxury suites feature in addition, a separate living/dining room with butler’s pantry and private open air terrace. The bathroom overlooks the Taj Mahal. The regal Kohinoor Suite has separate living and dining rooms. There is a private study.
